I first started interning at Jackson and Ryan Architects this summer from 8 to 5 for three weeks. Mr. Clements is the boss. He is very kind and has taught me a lot about architecture. During the summer I spent most of my time there learning how to use the software, sitting in on meetings, and going on site. I got to go to many construction sites and I learned a lot about not just architecture but contracting, engineering, and all the other factors that go into building a building. I got to see a lot of really cool buildings being built, and I even got to go to a huge elevator pit for a high rise. I also went to the SPCA(Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) which is under renovation where I saw a lot of animals including baby possums and a baby owl, as well as measuring houses, going in an organ pit for a church, and eating out in the village with some of the employees.

Internship experience at Jackson and Ryan Architects
This semester they have been giving me more responsibilities and projects. I have been modeling site plans, helping with digital drawings, and currently, I am designing a dog park and modeling surrounding buildings.
I am not only having a lot of fun, but I am getting professional office experience and learning important software that are used in the construction field.
